Kibbutz Lahav 2
OVERVIEW
In 2014 Kibbutz Lahav hired Triple-T to design and construct an upgrade to its existing WWTP, in order to meet the following professional objectives:
1) Increasing effluent quality, to meet the irrigation regulations.
2) Increasing capacity to handle additional flow from nearby settlements.

PERFORMANCE
Since 2015, the new TAYA system has produced consistent effluent quality in accordance with the strict environmental standards for Israeli wastewater reuse, using 80% less energy than activated sludge, and 80% saving in sludge treatment cost. Most importantly however, Kibbutz Lahav benefits from a robust treatment system, requiring a local operator only once a week, due to the minimal electro mechanical equipment and low requirements for sludge handling.
